Dear MUN Director,
We cordially invite your school to participate in the ILYMUN (International Lyon Model United Nations) conference, hosted by Cite Scolaire Internationale and The International School of Lyon. The three-day conference will take place from April 4th to April 6th in Lyon, France. This will be our very first year hosting a conference and we eagerly await participants from various countries in Europe. In the spirit of collaboration, our conference staff is made up of dedicated
members of the MUN clubs of our two schools. We are working together to provide you with an exciting, enriching and enjoyable conference. We have received support by the Rhône-Alpes Region, including the use of meeting rooms in the home of the Region, a modern building in the new Confluence area of the city.
At ILYMUN students will discuss issues faced by world leaders today, such as international security, the protection of indigenous cultures and people as well as development of energy in LEDCs . We believe that the small sizes of our committees, and a focus on finding solutions through negotiation and collaboration, will encourage participants to take an active role in the drafting and debating of resolutions.
We would be very happy to welcome your students to our conference. School registrations and fees are due by the 31st of January 2013. If your school would like to participate or you need further information regarding registration, fees, housing, committees and the provisional schedule, please refer to the attachment included with this invitation or contact us at:
[email protected]
We look forward to seeing you in Lyon in April 2013.
Sincerely,
The ILYMUN Executive Board
Soojee Kim, Pierre Mohamed, Kaelan Tardy, Lotta Velin
